Glenderaterra on two wheels

Another Sunday, another poor forecast - 10% chance of cloud free summits & gusts on the tops predicted at 55-65mph. Another outing on two wheels beckons a loop of Glenderaterra & a cycle down the old Keswick-Threlkeld railway starting from Spoonygreen Lane...

Strangely quiet on the old Keswick - Threlkeld railway line...

a brief rest to catch my breath on the pull up to the Blencathra Centre, cloud just licks Clough Head...

and Lonscale Fell, a 'little' breezy...

although it briefly starts to clear near the head of Glenderaterra...

the old girl opting for the bridge rather than the ford...

a few drops of rain as the cloud closes in...

clearer towards Keswick, all downhill from now so no more pics...

  1. I don't think I'd dare ride that corner around Lonscale Fell on a bike! It's still very windy isn't it? It's been horrendous today!

    1. TBH Carol there was a little bit of pushing involved over the rocky slabs - my skills aren't what they used to be when I was a teenager! Its wind & rain today so its not getting any better :(
